OREANDA-NEWS. The past year 2012 saw major efforts by FSUE “Gas-Turbine RPC “Salut” flagship enterprise in acquisition and implementation of the new equipment and machinery. Fulfillment of said task was carried out as part of the three-year government Production Plants Re-equipment Program and as means of increasing production volume and quality.

In 2012, the enterprise had old equipment replaced and new equipment commissioned in 25 of its production departments. The equipment has already been partially put into production with the rest of the machines undergoing series of installation and commissioning procedures with the assistance of the manufacturers' representatives.

Nearly all new units are equipped with computer numerical control (CNC) and are primarily designed for cutting and EDM operations or to be used in foundry and forging processes.

The enterprise had in total more than 70 modern machines accepted last year, among those – ultrasonic equipment, extrusion machines for production of cores and wax patterns, X-ray equipment, CNC-based machines and many more.

The list of vendors of the new state-of-the-art machines includes companies from the UK, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Japan, Spain, Ukraine and Belarus, as well as local machine builders – JSC “Prompribor”, AKA-kontrol, ZAO “Testron”, JSC “Elektromehanika” and others.

Over the last three years, the enterprise has acquired and commissioned a total of approximately 400 modern equipment units.

It has to be noted that the re-equipment program of FSUE “Gas-Turbine RPC”Salut” is by no means near completion. The plans for a full renovation cycle go as far as November 2020. In the meantime, most of the high-performance equipment in good working condition is going to be redeployed toward other production facilities under Salut's corporate management.
