OREANDA-NEWS.  On the 22nd of February, 2013, Rusatom Overseas held consultations in the Republic of Lithuania upon the official invitation of the country’s Ministry of Energy.

At the meeting which took place on the site of Ignalina NPP, Vice President of Rusatom Overseas A. Merten reported Prime Minister of Lithuania A. Butkevicius on problems related to the problems with decommissioning of Ignalina plant. It was emphasized that the continuation of work on project B1 currently is actually credited by the Russia party to avoid termination of processes and pay for the contractor’s work.

During the meeting the parties also discussed issues related to a possible cooperation in the energy sector.
