The exhibition’s launch gave a powerful boost to the development of furniture production in Uzbekistan. 14 companies from 7 countries exhibited at the first event, hailed by the press as a ‘mirror of Uzbekistan’s furniture market’, which at the time was in urgent need of modernisation and new high-tech solutions for domestic production. Over a short space of time, MebelExpo Uzbekistan allowed a business platform to be developed for global leaders of the furniture and woodworking industries to showcase their furniture production technology. Today, MebelExpo Uzbekistan hosts exhibitors from around the world and has remained a unique event for Uzbekistan’s furniture market.
