OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2013. The Estonian Travel and Tourism Association (ETFL) picked the Seaplane Harbor as Best Tourism Establishment of 2012 and its head Urmas Dresen as Best Promoter of Tourism.

Dresen was awarded for his role in the launching of the Seaplane Harbor museum, Kristen Lahtein, the secretary general of the tourism association, said in a press release.

“Dresen has, as director of the museum, been a visionary who has fought for the museum for years and finally was able to compete the project,” said Lahtein, adding that the museum is a unique, world class tourism object.

ETFL has been giving out the Best Tourism Establishment and Best Promoter of Tourism awards since 1990. Previous winners include the Black Nights Film Festival, KUMU, Tartu Marathon and, in the Best Promoter category, Eurovision Song Contest winners Tanel Padar and Dave Benton.

The awards were handed out at the ETFL's annual trade expo, Tourest, by the Minister of Economic Affairs Juhan Parts on Friday.
