OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2013. A Vice Prime Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko had a meeting with leading national companies of information and telecommunication technologies where the participants shared their vision of prospects of development of the area.

“The branch of information technologies is an example of successful creating with applying private capital of a new competitive economic branch in international markets. In Ukraine there were registered 3292 IT companies and around 2000 out of this number deal with production software,” K. Gryshchenko emphasised in the beginning of the meeting.

The Vice Prime Minister stressed that a weighty step on the way to support of national IT-companies had become approval in 2012 of laws of Ukraine “About the state assistance of the development of software industry” and “On making amendments to the section ХХ “Transition provisions” of the Tax Code of Ukraine concerning peculiarities of taxation of software industry subjects”. These steps target solving urgent issues of legislative regulation of development of the software industry.

In the course of discussion there were raised a series of important questions such as changes of Ukrainian legislation which could facilitate further upgrowth of IT-market in Ukraine, activization of cooperation of leading Ukrainian companies with national higher educational institutions and ways of advancement of most perspective national discoveries in IT area in foreign markets.

Kostyantyn Gryshchenko expressed readiness to render overall support to the natonal software producers and contribute to entering Ukraine’s IT companies to the world markets. “I consider it necessary to work out issues of carrying out huge presentation of Ukrainian IT-branch on one of international sites. I will personally participate in such an event, certainly together with you, in order to demonstrate the biggest inventions in this promising sphere,” the Vice Premier of Ukraine announced.

Besides, K. Gryshchenko called on IT companies to actively interact with educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine and underlined the need in coordinated cooperation between business and education. “I suggest in the nearest time to plan and hold a meeting in one of Ukrainian profile institutes targeting consideration of cooperation of leading national and foreign IT companies with scientific and educational institutions. During such a meeting we could tackle problems of the area in the education dimension,” the Vice Premier emphasized.

K.Gryshchenko added: “I want to assure you that the Government will not stand aside your problems and is geared up to render overall support to the national IT-branch”.
