OREANDA-NEWS. March 07, 2013. Qatar Petroleum (QP) has announced its strategic partnership with the International Public Relations Association - Gulf Chapter (IPRA-GC) to sponsor the 3rd Public Relations Regional Conference, which is scheduled on April 7-8 at the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel.

The two-day conference, which will be held for the first time in Doha, is under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of QP, and it will feature the participation of over 300 VIPs and delegates, including public relations leaders and experts from all over the GCC and the rest of the Arab world.

The strategic partnership agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulla Al-Obaidly, Manager of Public Relations and Communications of QP, and Mr. Jassim Fakhroo, President of the Conference, during the press conference to announce the sponsorship agreement.

"This strategic agreement for the 3rd Public Relations Regional Conference is in line with Qatar Petroleum’s objective to enhance the public relations culture in the country,” said Mr. Al-Obaidly."The conference will discuss the most important aspects of public relations in Qatar and in GCC countries and the event will be an ideal opportunity for PR and communications professionals to exchange experiences and share best practices."

Mr. Fakhroo, President of the Conference, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to QP for its strong support to the conference. "Our partnership with Qatar Petroleum is a significant added value and qualitative move enriching the activities of the 3rd Public Relations Regional Conference," Mr. Fakhroo said. "The conference is a valuable opportunity for all participants due to the experiences and new information it will provide, which will develop their skills in the field of public relations."

The 3rd Public Relations Regional Conference will feature six workshops dealing with the following subjects: the role of public relations in energy crises management, the basics of communication strategic plans development; the effectiveness of social interaction tools in public relations plans, the arts of conferences and events organization,  the ethical responsibility of public relations functions, and  administering and planning media campaigns in the framework of social responsibility.

These workshops will be organized by Rada Research & Public Relations, which is an internationally-recognized regional organization. New and significant subjects have been chosen for the workshop so that they would cover the interests of students and all individuals working in this field. These would enable them to be acquainted with the principles of public relations usage in all social, economic, industrial and informative scopes, introduce them to the modern trends in the field of public relations, and give them the opportunity to establish constructive dialogue to discuss the challenges faced by public relations professionals around the world.

The workshops will be held on April 7-8 in parallel with the conference sessions that will focus on the opportunities and challenges in the field of public relations in light of modern technologies, the national vision and its transmission to society, and the role of public relations as envisaged by leaderships and social responsibility.
