OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2013. A greener and eco-friendly lifestyle is a new aspiration for modern families. Pursuing an all-electric home not only enhances efficiency in daily life, but also improves indoor air quality and promotes a greener living. HK Electric stages a three-day "Eco-Quality Home" bazaar to showcase the benefits of an all-electric home.

Mr. Arthur Wong, General Manager (Group Commercial) said: “An all-electric home featuring advanced electric appliances is key to enhancing living quality.”

The three-day bazaar was kicked off at the New Jade Shopping Arcade in Chai Wan with a variety of programmes. Lai Lok-yi, a popular TV celebrity was invited to share his tips on green living, as well as cooking demonstration by nutritionist Mr. Leslie Chan. HK Electric’s Home Management Centre also presented low-carbon cooking recipes on stage and the Company’s Safety Ambassador talked on the safe use of electricity.

Green home electric appliances such as induction cookers, water heaters and multi-functional dryers were introduced at the bazaar. Since induction cooker operates without a combustion process, it emits no toxic gas and reduces waste heat discharge. The compact design of electric water heaters and ceiling mounted dryers also allow homeowners greater flexibility in home decor.

Teaming up with other suppliers, innovative electric appliances on display included the PCO Air Purifier, which brings in fresher air at home; the Lotus Sanitizer which transforms tap water into non-polluted detergent; a user-friendly Halogen cooking pot and an 8-in-1 food processor which makes cooking simple and fun. Also on display were a professional high-speed food processor and a multi-functional dessert master.

A kick-off ceremony on “Eco-Quality Home” was held today (16 March) in Chai Wan, with officiating guest Mr. Wong Kin-pan, Chairman of Eastern District Council. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Arthur Wong said, “Apart from providing an efficient and reliable electricity supply to our customers, HK Electric is also aware of the growing interest in a greener lifestyle, which an all-electric home can help accomplish.”

Interested public can join the “Eco-Quality Home” membership programme at the bazaar to learn more about products promotion and information updates.
