OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2013. Tariffs for housing and communal services will not be raised for the population. This was informed by Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine at a press-conference held at the House of Government.

“Tariffs for the population will not be increased. It is a principal position of the President of Ukraine and the Government. Hence, to ensure that housing and communal services’ enterprises were not unprofitable the Government envisaged in the state budget 5.1 billion hryvnyas for paying off debt from difference in tariffs for heat energy, services in centralized water supply,” the Minister explained.

Hennadiy Temnyk emphasized the Ministry is involved in activity with regards to creating normative base which would afford forming tariffs taking into account an investment component which will make up 15%.

“When the investment component is laid into the tariff at the account of cost reduction, an investor will be interested to launch an investment program into heat supplies or centralized water supply systems. This component of the tariff will not affect growing of the tariff for population. It will be formed at the account of energy and resource saving,” the Minister explained.
