OREANDA-NEWS. OMV first started its cooperation with Erste Bank und Sparkassen three years ago. The 24-hour bank service, which is now available at more than 180 “bank outlets” across Austria, has proved to be extremely successful. Popular services not only include traditional cash machine services but also deposit and transfer services. “Transactions worth around EUR 70 mn are carried out at our OMV service terminals every month,” says Peter Bosek, Member of the Management Board of Erste Bank responsible for private and corporate customers. The number of transfers again increased by 20% compared to a year previously and cash deposits increased by as much as a third. “This is a clear signal that our customers value being able to use our services outside the main branches.”

Alois Wach, head of the OMV filling station business in Austria and Germany, is delighted with the positive response from customers at the filling stations: “The continual increase in the number of transactions shows that this cooperation with Erste Bank und Sparkassen has really hit the mark. Our customers make use of the various services, such as banking transactions, that they can also easily carry out at filling stations,.”

With immediate effect, a new joint promotion is being launched for the whole of April under the motto “Informieren und Sprit kassieren!”. The promotion applies to all customers at OMV filling stations with VIVA shops. When a customer pays for goods or fuel at an OMV shop, they will receive an information flyer with an integrated scratch card. With this scratch card they could win one of 25,000 spot prizes, including 10 times vouchers for one year fuelling for free with a value of EUR 1,000. Anyone who is not yet a customer of Sparkassengruppe will be able to open “the most advanced account in Austria” during the promotional period to 31.05.2013, and will also receive a bonus for switching banks in the form of OMV vouchers worth EUR 20.
