OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Moscow expands the network for accepting applications for the issue of electronic government cards (EGC) engaging additional card outlet points at 13 biggest branches in Moscow. As of April 2013 anyone aged from 18 and on can apply for and get an EGC submitting a Russian passport and a personal account insurance number (PAIN).

An electronic government card gives an opportunity to use the following state services with no need to register on the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (www.gosuslugi.ru): apply for and obtain a foreign travel passport, pay road traffic police fines, submit a tax declaration or apply for a Russian Pension Fund statement.

The Card also provides access to services at the Moscow Portal of State Services (pgu.mos.ru) with no prior registration either.

At the branches of the Bank of Moscow clients together with the EGC are given free of charge a card reader that can be connected to any modern PC or notebook via a USB connector.

The Bank of Moscow and OAO Rostelecom started implementing the EGC Project in October 2012. The Project is implemented in co-operation with the Visa International and MasterCard WorldWide payment systems. The Project technical partners are Rosan Finance, Aladdin RD and AT Consulting.

"The Bank of Moscow keeps on developing and improving the services provided to its clients and has introduced an easily accessible tool to facilitate access to state and municipal services. That’s how the Bank makes its contribution towards resolving the problem of providing services to the population in an electronic form. The first experience showed that digital signature cards are highly needed so the Bank of Moscow vigorously works on expanding the functionality of cards," commented Maxim Patrin, Vice President of the Bank of Moscow.

"We are happy to say that we have entered the next stage of the EGC Project," says Roman Kravtsov, acting Vice President for innovations and development of OAO Rostelecom. "We are pleased to know that the Bank of Moscow using our technical solutions creates and develops remarkable and easily accessible tools aimed to make people’s life better".
