OREANDA-NEWS. Renaissance Capital, the leading emerging markets investment bank, has appointed Daniel Salter as Head of EMEA Strategy. With a proven track record in the EMEA space, and more than 15 years investment experience, spent living and working in London and Moscow, on both the buy and sell sides, Daniel will further strengthen Renaissance Capital’s market-leading research franchise.

Daniel joins from UniCredit where he worked from 2010-2012 as Head of EMEA Equity Strategy and Head of Russian Equity Research, responsible for mainstream and frontier markets. His remit included country and sector allocation, bottom-up stock selection, investor flows and quantitative screening, with a focus on thematic research. In 2002-2010 Daniel worked in a similar capacity as Head of EMEA Equity Strategy, Head of Russia & CIS Equity Research at ING. Prior to that, he led ABN AMRO’s equity business in Russia, including sales, trading and research, having started his career as a portfolio manager for emerging markets equities at Deutsche Asset Management.
