OREANDA-NEWS. A meeting with the delegation led by Director of TWI (The Welding Institute of Cambridge University) Company Reza Razmjoo was held at SOCAR. Welcoming the guests, SOCAR vice-president of HR, IT and regulations Khalik Mammadov informed on company’s operation directions and staff training.

Director of TWI Company Reza Razmjoo highlighted the activities of the TWI Company, operating under Cambridge University since 1946. According to him, main activity of the company, which cooperates with leading oil firms like BP, Chevron, Shell and Statoil, is providing trainings and conducting certification. He expressed TWI Company’s intent in cooperation with SOCAR. The meeting was followed by a presentation by TWI’s manager on Azerbaijan Karim Shakouri on the firm’s underwater training program. As he mentioned, TWI’s services include training, consultancy, certification, technical advice, base services such as supply with modern technologies, training professional welders, organizing trainings on international welding engineering.

Mr Shakouri also said the program attracts more than 15,000 trainees from 16 countries annually. The country manager spoke of future plans of the company, including the establishment of a Perfection Center for Central Asia. During the meeting, the sides discussed other issues of mutual interest.
