OREANDA-NEWS. About 85 million moms will expect a little gratitude on May 12, 2013.1 After all, it is Mother's Day, the Sunday to celebrate Mom and all she does for the family.

What if you could shoulder some of her responsibility, or at least shift it to your appliances? GE serves up an all-star appliance lineup with smart washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators and microwaves that will make running a household easier.

1. Wash fewer loads. GE's new high-efficiency top load washer features the industry's largest capacity (5 cubic feet) for toploading models, which means mom can tackle more laundry in fewer loads.
2. Sayonara, stains. Tackle stains with the touch of a button. GE's latest washing machines include a built-in stain removal guide that does a number on common stains, including tomato sauce, dirt and grass.
3. Prepare formula, instant mac-n-cheese or oatmeal with one touch. Only have one hand free? GE's Cafй™ French door refrigerator has a hot water dispenser that can help eliminate steps in the kitchen. The feature dispenses hot water at accurate temperatures from 90 to 185 degrees for a variety of kid-friendly food and drinks.
4. Give them veggies. Okay, so we can't promise you they will eat them, but half the battle is giving kids the option of vegetables. Luckily, the MyPlate function on GE's microwave makes preparing this healthy side dish easier. The microwave tells you exactly how long to prepare each veggie, from asparagus to a sweet potato.
5. Sanitize kid cups, pacifiers, bottles and snack cups. GE's new line of dishwashers offers a sanitize cycle to remove icky germs from all kiddy utensils.
6. Skip the tantrum with half-loads. When her favorite sippy cup is dirty, run a half load with no guilt of wasting water and electricity. If you have an infant in the house, use this feature to run a bottle load in between meals to free up space for lasagna-crusted baking dishes and peanut butter spoons. GE's newest dishwasher lets moms and dads choose between the top or bottom rack for a true half load.
