OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero, a well-known St.Petersburg airline steadily increases its flight frequency and routes operated from Pulkovo Airport, as it is envisaged by the Transaero 2013 summer program. Flights will be operated from St.Petersburg to 29 destinations to embrace a vast geography: Russia, the Ukraine, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt, Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro and Czech Republic.

Moreover, the following 12 new destinations will be opened by Transaero in summer 2013. Sochi, Kaliningrad, Kiev, Vienna, Pardubice, Zakinthos, Santorini, Kerkira, Canea, Pula and Tivat. Transaero is the only carrier to operate from St.Petersburg to Pardubice, Punta-Kana,Varadero and charters to Santorini.

In summer 2013 Transaero plans to operate 6,570 flights from St.Petersburg, which is by 1.5 times more than last summer.

It is first time in its history that Transaero will regularly operate flights from St.Petersburg on its largest Boeing 747-400 with up to 522 passengers seating.

Transaero actively develops in Pulkovo airport pursuant to the Memorandum on strategic partnership signed between NCG LLC and Transaero in June 2011, which meets the interests of airline customers and the airport.

Transaero has been registered in St.Petersburg since January 2006. Their aviation squad, maintenance base, flight attendants, transportation, sales, aviation security and a training center are located in St.Petersburg.

In Pulkovo airport spring-summer schedule came into effect from March 31 till October 26 2013 Greek airline Aegean Airlines starts to operate regular flights from St.Petersburg to 9 Greek towns : Alexandropolis, Athens, Iraklyon, Kalamata, Kerkyra, Kos, Rhodos, Skiathos, Saloniki In addition to Venice, Air One starts to operate flights to Catania, Milan and Pisa.In addition to Iraklyon, Blue Bird Airways opens direct flights to Rhodos. National carrier of Iceland, Icelandair, starts operating twice a week flights between St.Petersburg and Reykjavik. So St.Petersburg will be the first Russian city to host regular flights from the capital of Iceland. UtAir starts operating its first international twice a week flights from St.Petersburg to Budapest. Rusline starts its flights to Yaroslavl,Ulianovsk,Voronezh. Severstal increases the flight frequency to Cherepovets and opens flights to Ukhta (twice a week). Yamal will start flights to Anapa.
