OREANDA-NEWS. General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions has integrated its flagship network security solution, Fidelis XPS™, with IBM’s security information and event management (SIEM) product, the IBM QRadar. This product collaboration will help protect customers’ valuable enterprise assets from complex advanced persistent threats by delivering real-time malicious activity reports so customers know what is happening on their networks.

“As we continue to help our customers defend their networks from complex, advanced threats, we look to leverage innovative tools and technologies that will work together with our products to combat the most prevalent risk – cyber adversaries that are using the network to compromise the enterprise,” said Tom Lyons, vice president of product management at General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions. “This product collaboration with the highly flexible, scalable and easy-to-deploy IBM QRadar provides customers with an enhanced understanding of the threats on their network through the real-time reporting of activities and events. This valuable insight allows customer to quickly act on threats and defend their enterprise, protecting valuable data from leaving the network.”

Fidelis XPS monitors and analyzes network traffic to help customers detect and block cyber attacks. The next-generation Fidelis XPS leverages IBM QRadar to report events as they happen on the network and provides a clear picture of the type of threats attempting to penetrate the network. Once that information is captured, summarized and delivered to an end-user’s dashboard, an analyst can access the Fidelis XPS console using IBM QRadar to gather more information and act on the threat, preventing valuable data from being taken out of the network.

Built on General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions’ patented Deep Session Inspection® platform, Fidelis XPS is an industry leading network security appliance that delivers network visibility, analysis and control over all ports and all channels in real-time, to defend against advanced threats and prevent the possibility of a data breach on multi-gigabit-speed networks. Deployed as a context-aware network appliance, Fidelis XPS gives global enterprises and government agencies the ability to see, study and stop advanced threats during all phases of the threat lifecycle.
