OREANDA-NEWS. Anhui province welcomed 17.3 million tourists during the May Day holiday, up 19.47 percent from a year earlier, official statistics showed.

During the three-day break, the province reaped 4.6 billion yuan (USD 730 million) in tourism revenue, representing a year-on-year rise of 24.64 percent, according to the local administration of tourism.

68 major scenic areas saw the number of visitors up by 2.72 percent year-on-year to 2.3 million and posted a 11.57 percent rise in ticket sales to hit 93.2 million yuan.
