Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region, honored Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) for being the main sponsor of the National Productive Families Forum and Exhibition, which was held under the theme, "Towards Creating a ‘Made in Saudi Arabia’ Mindset," in Jeddah from May 4 to 6. Abdulaziz Al-Ahmadi, General Manager, SABIC, Western Province, received an honorary plaque on behalf of SABIC.

SABIC’s participation is part of its social responsibility strategy to support and develop productive families and enhance their role to achieve balanced development in the Kingdom, and help launch several constructive initiatives to support and develop this vital spectrum of society.

In the course of fulfilling of its national obligations, SABIC has constantly played a leading role in the social programs that focus on serving and developing the community. To this end, SABIC has adopted a series of large-scale projects, investing time, money and effort in them. Moreover, SABIC’s social responsibility programs have developed new dimensions in the last few years, as the company diversified its participation in many national development activities.

The forum involved six meetings and 22 workshops, which discussed matters related to productive families. In addition to representatives of the productive families, a group of faculty members in Saudi universities also took part in the forum. Several companies specialized in various business areas, a number of professional trainers from the Kingdom and the Arab world, and many well-known training centers in the region also participated in the event
