OREANDA-NEWS. Fujitsu recently negotiated a 12 month extension of its Distributed Computing Central Services (DCCS) contract with the Australian Department of Defence. The contract is worth USD 40m per annum. This contract extension option forms part of a long term contract that was market tested by Department of Defence in 2009.

Under the contract Fujitsu provides more than 450 personnel to an extensive range of core and project services within the Department’s Chief Information Officers Group (CIOG) including: IT service desk; server and desktop operations; network watch function; email and groupware operations; applications and Information Technology Service Management tool support and process functions; project office functions; FISSO (Navy ICT) specific services; up to June 2014.
