OREANDA-NEWS. The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), is preparing a final decision on the new partner banks in Azerbaijan.

The Baku-based IDB resident office informs that originally the decision was expected before the end of May, but so far the news on its making has not been received.

"The ICD mission, whose visit was held in April, completed the process of due diligence of local banks, considered as potential partners of the corporation. On this basis, a decision will be made on the amount and members of cooperation," the office said.

Initially speech was about drawing of two or three new partner banks. It was planned to formalize relations with them in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2013.
