Aleksandr Provotorov, Tele2 Russia President and CEO:

“Tele2 is the most rapidly developing company on the Russian mobile market. The operator is consequently increasing its market share, by entering new regions and performing a solid growth of subscriber base even on the overall market slowdown. In my opinion, the Tele2 business strategy that implies providing high-quality service at low prices, proved to be efficient, which is confirmed by a dynamic growth of financial rates. The company’s business model and cost control let it invest into further expansion. I am sure that with VTB Group support, the company will be able to come to the next level of its development. Adherence to its corporate culture and basic values will help the company achieve a status of federals mobile operator”.

Jere Calmes, who previously held the post of Tele2 Russia president and CEO, has moved to the post of first deputy CEO and is now in charge of the company’s operations. Jere Calmes will also enter Tele2 Russia BoD.
