OREANDA-NEWS. Wind Power LLC has signed a loan agreement in the amount of EUR 138 million for the Second Phase of the Botievo Wind Farm. The construction is expected to be finished in 2014. The loan was granted by the LandesBank Berlin (LBB), one of the largest banks in Germany.

The loan has a tenure of 10 years and will be used for financing the second stage of the Botievo wind farm, which includes thirty five Vestas wind turbines V112-3,0 MW with total capacity of 105 MW.

“DTEK actively implements new technologies into production and the best world practices for corporate management and transparency in business, which increase the confidence of investors and provides a good basis for raising loans from foreign banks, "- says the CFO of DTEK Vsevolod Starukhin

The deal was backed from EKF - the Export Credit Agency of Denmark. EKF will obtain reinsurance from other ECAs for the non-Danish content.

This is the second cooperation for Wind Power and LLC LandesBank Berlin within the construction of the Botievo Wind Farm. In 2012 Wind Power LLC raised € 107 million for the First Phase of the Botievo Wind Farm. That deal was considered one of the largest long-term investments in private business within the energy sector. The deal has been recognized as a Deal of the Year-2012 according to Euromoney's Trade Finance magazine (London) and Global Trade review magazine (London).

“The project portfolio of Wind Power LLC has a total nominal capacity of about 1,200MW. It is an ambitious plan and it requires large-scale investment. We are pleased to see that foreign financial institutions are broadening cooperation with our company. We are planning to implement the project financing soon. That will allow us to raise the long-term investments in our wind energy projects without the guarantees of DTEK as the parent company, "- said the director of Wind Power LLC Guerman Ainbinder.
