OREANDA-NEWS.  Stroytransgaz Group of Companies and the environmental company EcoStroy LLC have made an arrangement to jointly develop the industrial ecology business. Vadim Guronov, General Director of Stroytransgaz and Alexander Rabinovich, General Director of EcoStroy LLC have signed the letter of agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.     

 The Parties agreed to establish the joint venture on the basis of EcoStroy LLC, which will be renamed into STG-Eco LLC. The deal is expected to close after all necessary approvals from the regulatory authorities have been received. 

 The business to be developed on the basis of STG-Eco will include providing environmental support to the investment projects country-wide, providing environmental services to the major Russian holdings as well as dealing with the significant environmental issues around the country and its constituent entities.   

 In particular, the company plans to be engaged in construction of environmental infrastructure facilities (landfills, waste accumulation and recycling sites, waste sorting and treatment facilities, etc) and providing services on industrial and construction waste treatment and on environmental monitoring and control.  

 “In the recent years, the environmental protection issues gained more importance in Russia. Specifically, the Presidential Decree declared 2013 as the year of environmental protection in our country”, noted Vadim Gurinov, General Director of Stroytransgaz. Mr Gurinov also emphasized that industrial ecology is one of the most dynamic markets in the country. “We hope that Stroytransgaz will become the leader in this industry in the nearest future”, said Mr Gurinov.
