OREANDA-NEWS.  July 02, 2013. Recently, Bank of China went into partnership with Barclays Bank of Kenya Limited to set up Chinese business counter in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.

The counter, which is the fourth one established by BOC in Africa, is designed to provide financial service for the Chinese businesses and local enterprises.

China Business Counter is an innovative model of BOC in an effort to expand its global service network. In countries or regions where BOC has not established operating branches, BOC utilizes the business platform of agent bank(s) and deploys its staff to the agent bank(s) to provide financial services such as investment consultancy, international settlement, account opening and project loans.

Before in Kenya, BOC has set up Chinese business counters in Oman, Ghana, Peru, Chile, Turkey, Finland, Uganda, Mongolia, Mexico and Egypt.
