OREANDA-NEWS. Bus wholesales fell 17.7% year on year to 21.4 thousand vehicles in January-May 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Sales of domestic-branded buses were down 11.7% to 13.8 thousand units; however, their market share expanded to 64.7% from 60.3% a year earlier, thus confirming this segment's dominance on the bus market. Sales of foreign-branded buses assembled in Russia were up 1.5 times to 4.8 thousand units to expand their market share two-fold to 22.3%. New imports reduced two-fold to 2.7 thousand buses, and their market share lost 7.9 points to make 12.5%. Used imports contracted drastically, 18-fold to only 105 buses, and their market share squeezed to 0.5% from 7.4% in January-May 2012.
