OREANDA-NEWS. For the first six months in 2013 NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport served 1,634,840 passengers representing a 14.2% growth compared to the same period in 2012. Passenger traffic on domestic routes totalled 943,808 passengers (+5.3%), on international routes - 691,032 passengers (+29.2%).

In June, 2013 monthly passenger traffic increasedby 10.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and made up 343,977 passengers. As reported, 205,073 passengers were served on domestic routes (+6.2%), while on international routes - 138,904 passengers (+17.2%).

In January-June, 2013 the airport provided operation of 18,238 ATMs (+6.6%). In June it reports 3,618 ATMs or a 6.1% growth compared to the same period in 2012.

For the six months' period of the current year, cargo and mail traffic reached 14,260 tons (+8.8%) including 2,668 tons handled in June (+7%).

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers and handle over 35 thousand tons of cargo and mail.
