OREANDA-NEWS. 'Lighting up the town' was the title of the Renaissance Art Studio project, carried out by participants of Metalloinvest's School of Communal Good in Zheleznogorsk.

With the help of volunteers and guidance from Konstantin Koshelev, a 19 year old artist invited to the event as a consultant, the grey walls of the Centre of Child Creativity turned into colourful panels depicting all the types of studies that take place at the Centre: music, art, theatre and choreography.

The Renaissance Art Studio project seeks to engender young people with creative skills, initiative and individuality through the medium of different arts. As part of the project, participants from the School of Communal Good hold master classes in various art forms; organise concerts, thematic evenings and exhibitions; and arrange events for the town's residents, aimed at conveying cultural values to them. The basis for the project was the creation of a studio to enable the creative self-development of children through art.
