OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines reports its operational results for the first six months of 2013. The results demonstrate the company’s stable development and highlight growth across all key performance indicators.

In January-June 2013:

Revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) increased to a total of 21,933 million, a 21.5% increase over the first six months of 2012

Number of passengers carried reached 5,491,042, a 26.4% increase compared with January-June 2012

Freight turnover grew to a total of 2,138 million tkm, a 20.2% rise over the first six months of 2012

Transaero delivered a total of 29,000.7 tons of cargo in the first half of the year, up 5.9% on January-June 2012

Commenting on the operational results, Olga Pleshakova, Transaero Airlines CEO, said: “We are satisfied with the results of our work and the achieved growth rates. The first half of the year saw such important developments as an active launch of flights on a wide route network from Moscow Vnukovo airport, as well as preparing the Strategic Partnership Agreement with UTair Aviation.
