OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2013. "The Government continues to build Metro to create comfortable conditions for passengers and passenger transport development in Kyiv. It has been open 5 stations for three years: Demiivska, Holosiivska, Vasylkivska, Vystavkovyi tsentr, Ipodrom. Metrobuilding of the Teremky station of the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska line of Kyiv Metro is completing. Construction works are done by 70%," vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul said during a working meeting at the Teremky metro station.

Olexandr Vilkul noted that the new metro station (Teremky) will be equipped with all needed for passengers with special needs.

"In order to implement the Barrier-free space State Program for people with disabilities will be installed 4 special lifts and sound informants of direction. On the station platform will be made relief limiters and contrast paints will be applied on the first and last steps of the descent into the Metro," he said.

New technologies have been used during the construction of the station.

"New technologies of tunneling allow to work underground without shifting the transmission utilities and communications at the surface and preserve green space. There were no re-carpeting of the roadway," vice Prime Minister said.

Today there are three metros in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk.

State Program of Economic Revitalization for 2013-2014 provides for the development of the State program for the construction and development of a network of metros by 2020.
