According to the accounting balance of the National Bank, currency of NBM’s balance as of June 30, 2013 amounted to 35 billion 621.2 million lei, 1.6% up from the beginning of the year. The amount of cash in circulation increased by 6.8% - up to 15 billion 551.4 million lei.

State funds (cash available) decreased by 3.3% amounting to 1 billion 832.1 million lei. Bank funds decreased by 9.6% - up to 5 billion 400.8 million lei. NBM’s equity has remained the same - 330 million lei. Reserves from unrealized income from the exchange difference from revaluation of currency reserves and revaluation of the investment securities remained at the same level- 743.9 million and 300.91 million lei, respectively. Exchange differences from revaluation of currency reserves amounted to 560.264 million lei.

According to the accounting balance of NBM, the amount of cash and short-term placements in banks in I half 2013 decreased by 15.6% - up to 10 billion 817.9 million lei. Monetary gold by the end of June amounted to 36.78 million lei vs.47.59 million lei by the end of 2012. Volume of investment securities in I half of 2013 grew up since the beginning of the year by 14.6% - up to 19 billion 997.1 million lei.

Debt obligations of international financial institutions increased by 2.9% - up to 2 billion 371.3 million lei. Long-term tangible assets of the National Bank decreased by 5.2% - up to 20 million 822 thousand lei, intangible assets increased by 23.4% - up to 17 million 009 thousand lei and other assets-by 5.8 times - up to 26 million 962 thousand lei.
