The meeting set a task on conservation of spouting gas at the well.

"The Commission holds meetings on a daily basis," it was reported.

The fire originated in the well at night of 18 August in the drilling of a new production horizon at a depth of more than 5,000 m. Abnormally high pressure is called as a cause.

Yesterday Rovnag Abdullayev stated that the main objective is not just to put out the fire, which is controlled, but also to keep well for use.

Fires in the process of exploration at the field occurred in the past as well - the last time it happened in 1999.
