OREANDA-NEWS. The delegation of Airport Tolmachevo JSC participated in one of the largest world aviation forums - the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS 2013) held in Moscow. The event attracted the aviation industry experts, aviation authorities, officials and media.

Within the framework of the forum, the airport’s representatives conducted a series of meetings and negotiations with the management officials of their partner-airlines such as UTair,Transaero, Rossiya and others. During negotiations, such issue as the further development of partnership between Novosibirsk airport and the air carriers was considered as well.

The route network of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airportcovers over 90 international and domestic destinations, thus,connecting both the Russian and foreign cities with regular and charter flights scheduled, including resort and world business centers. Regular flights to Novosibirsk are performed by more than 40 Russian and foreign airlines. Flight schedule is regularlyextended with new routes, flight frequencies on the popular destinations are reported to increase.

In 2012 and for the first (interim) half 2013, jointly with thepartner-airlines, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport extended its flight geography with 15 new domestic and international destinations such as Istanbul, Bodrum, Dusseldorf, Sharjah, Minsk, Munich, Hong Kong, Palma de Majorca, Tyumen, Omsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul, Kyzyl, Abakan, Blagoveshchensk and others. Currently, launching of flights to Helsinki, Tel Aviv, Seoul, Kaliningrad, Odessa, Riga and other cities is among top priorities of the airport.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers.

International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS takes place every two years under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation on the airfield of the central national test base Gromov Flight Research Institute in Zhukovsky, the city of aviation science and technology. The main objective of the air show is to demonstrate the national high technologies andopenness of the domestic market in Russia in order to establish joint projects with the foreign partners. Guests of the show can explore the largest research, production and testing centers of Russia located in close proximity to the salon.
