OREANDA-NEWS.  Latvian airline airBaltic started a new route from Riga to the tourist resort of Larnaca, Cyprus, for the summer season of 2013. The new Riga-Larnaca route will be extended to the winter season to offer convenient travel between the two airports, and beyond to destinations in the Baltics, Scandinavia, Russia, and the CIS.

Michael Grimme, Chief Commercial Officer: “airBaltic has made an impressive improvement in its business results in the first six months of 2013, and achieved a net profit in the second quarter. This enables us to improve our service to passengers on high-demand routes and offer Riga-Larnaca for the winter season.”
