OREANDA-NEWS. Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (“Federal Grid Company” or “the Company”) (Moscow Exchange, LSE: FEES), part of the Russian Grids Group of companies and operator of Russia's unified electricity transmission grid system, today announces that it has appointed VTB Capital to act as market maker of the Company's global depositary receipts traded on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. The appointment shall be effective from 12 September 2013.

Federal Grid Company is committed to enhancing our relations with international investors and the appointment of VTB Capital as market maker will be effective in promoting the liquidity of GDRs on the London Stock Exchange.

The Company successfully listed global depositary receipts on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange in March 2011. Bank of New York Mellon was appointed as depositary bank for Federal Grid Company's GDR programme as of 1 July 2013.
