It was informed by the Andy Brown, Upstream International Director, Royal Dutch Shell plc. during a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.

The presentation of cutting-edge technologies, which allow extracting remains of gas from deposits, which have been already developed before, and from small deposits using mobile systems, which allow you to reduce costs by 50% with gas production was held during the meeting too.

"Of course, we are interested in application in Ukraine of these cutting-edge technologies. We are confident that they will give a good result on our fields," the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said.

He recalled that Ukraine annually produced up to 40 billion cubic meters of gas before, so our country has such deposit where gas extraction you can recover.

"Let's begin to study this issue in Ukraine," the Head of the Ukrainian Government said.

In turn, the Minister of energy and coal industry Eduard Stavytsky said that he has already received from the Prime Minister's mandate regarding the preparation of the first experiment on one of the exhausted gas fields: in cooperation with Royal Dutch Shell to conduct an analysis of the situation and to report results to the Government.
