OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2013. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, trade deficit for 7 months of this year made 43.1 % vs. 41.9 % at the same period of 2012.

The volume of Moldovan exports in January-July 2013 amounted to USD 1 billion 323.9 million , increasing by 9.9 % compared to the same period of 2012 and the volume of imports grew by 6.7 % - up to USD 3 billion 070.2 million.

According to NBS, the exports of national goods for the period amounted to USD 906.3 million (68.5% of the total), increasing by 25 % compared to the same period of 2012. Re-export of goods in January -July 2013 amounted to USD 417.6 million or 31 5% of the total exports. As compared to the same period of the last year, re-export of goods for 7 months of 2013 decreased by 13 %.

Moldovan exports to CIS countries grew by 5.3 % - up to USD 534.3 million, to EU - by 5.3 % - up to USD 607.8 million and to other states - by 51.4 % - up to USD 181.8 million. The share of CIS countries in total Moldovan exports declined from 42.1 % up to 40.4 % and the share of EU countries has decreased from 47.9 % up to 45.9 %.

The share of other states increased from 10% up to 13.7 %. According to NBS, in January -July 2013 Moldova has increased imports from CIS countries by 3.3 % - up to USD 948.6 million, from EU - by 7.6 % - up to USD 1 billion 365.8 million and from other states - by 9.6 % - up to USD 755.8 million. The share of CIS countries in total Moldovan imports decreased from 31.9 % up to 30.9 %, the share of EU grew from 44.1% up to 44.5 %, the share of other states – increased from 24% up to 24.6 %.
