OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2013. At meeting of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board, Eesti Pank Governor Ardo Hansson gave board members a review of the state of the economy in the euro area.

Deputy Governor Ulo Kaasik presented an update after six months on the central bank's budget for this year.

The board received a report on the work of the internal audit department for the first half of the year and set out the audit plan for the second half of the year. The board also received the central bank's risk management report for 2012.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board Mart Laar reported on the inquiry presented to him on the subject of the VEB fund by members of the Riigikogu, to which he will answer in parliament on 9 September.

This was Mart Laar's first Supervisory Board meeting as Chairman. The next meeting of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board will be on 15 October.
