OREANDA-NEWS. According to the instruction of the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation, there were drillings of the airport emergency rescue services held at Moscow Domodedovo Airport with participation of the interacting forces and means of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. This way the airport proves its readiness for participation in the major international events.

According to the scenario, the aircraft that was performing a flight from Novotrubinsk to Moscow made an emergency landing in Domodedovo. There are 70 persons onboard. 62 passengers (53 adults and 9 children) and 8 crew members, as well as 3 tons of cargo. The emergency situation was caused by a failure of the right gear leg. The airport specialists have to provide for evacuation of the broken aircraft and render relative help to the passengers.

On the alarm signal all the emergency rescue services of the Domodedovo airport that included fire-fighting crews, employees of the passenger terminal health post and the passenger escort services sub-group, aviation security service specialists and flight security inspection, were mobilized.

Well-coordinated actions of the airport specialists, as well as proper outfit and readiness for taking measures to eliminate consequences of the air accident made it possible to effectively perform all the drilling tasks. The emergency rescue teams of Domodedovo complex shift eliminated the fire outbreak, arranged evacuation of the passengers and crew members with their subsequent transportation to the rehabilitation centers. Besides, due to the use of aircraft recovery lifting bag the broken gear leg has been released and the aircraft was towed from the place of the forced landing.

During the drill the airport specialists practiced the personnel alerting about an emergency situation, localized and extinguished a fire. There were implemented practical actions of the Domodedovo emergency rescue team to carry out evacuation works after forced landing of the aircraft.

Readiness of the Domodedovo airport for participation in organization and holding of the significant sport events based on the drill results will be soon assessed by specialists of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
