OREANDA-NEWS. Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline group in Central and Eastern Europe*, inaugurated today the first flights from Chisinau Airport to Venice Treviso and Rome Ciampino. Both new route are operated twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays and 137 passengers joined the first flight to Venice while the load of the flight to Rome was 128 passengers.

These are Wizz Air’s first low fare routes from Chisinau and over 7,000 tickets have already been sold, showing that access to low cost air travel between Moldova and Italy is welcomed by the travelling public, which may include tourists, business travellers and the Moldovan Diaspora.
