OREANDA-NEWS. In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk the Far East visit of Vladimir Voyeikov and Vladimir Verkhoshinsky, members of the Board of the Bank of Moscow, was finished and the Bank’s operations in Sakhalin within the last 9 months were summed up.

Sakhalin office of the Bank of Moscow was opened in 1999. Today two offices of the Bank work here, one in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the other in Korsakov and as demand for the Bank’s services grows another office is planned to be opened next year.

According to Vladimir Voyeikov, member of the Board of the Bank of Moscow, as of 1 October 2013 the SMB credit portfolio of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk office amounted to 1.6 billion RUR having grown by 3 times as compared with the beginning of the year. The SMB resource portfolio, according to the results of the 9 month operations, amounted to 1.3 billion RUR.

Today the Bank of Moscow strives to become a captive bank for enterprises that are involved in the implementation of municipal projects. Thus in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk the Bank actively participates in the implementation of the area’s projects aimed at the development of the region and improvement of the life standards of the people. The Bank actively finances the construction of social infrastructure sites such as kindergartens and educational institutions.

The projects financed by the Bank are implemented within the framework of a long-term ear-marked programme "Accessible pre-school education in Sakhalin Area in 2011-2015". Within the scope of this programme 28 pre-school education institutions are planned to be built, and two primary schools/kindergartens (five of them have already been built and commissioned). The Bank of Moscow also finances such construction sites as the building of as secondary school No. 3 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and a pre-school educational institution for 240 pupils in Dolinsk.

Retail business of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk office of the Bank of Moscow has also attained impressive results. Thus, according to Vladimir Verkhoshinsky, member of the Board of the Bank of Moscow, as of 1 October 2013 the retail credit portfolio amounted to 1.43 billion RUR. Compared with the same indicators of the last year it is a 1.5 times growth. The individual deposits portfolio to date is 3 billion RUR. The market share of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk office in terms credits extended to individuals is over 11%, and in terms of deposits made by individuals is over 5%.
