OREANDA-NEWS. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is expanding its presence in Sao Paulo with a second daily nonstop flight to Atlanta. The additional frequency is slated to begin March 2014 and will be operated with a 210-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring 35 BusinessElite flat bed seats, 32 seats in Economy Comfort and 143 seats in Economy.

“Delta is taking the right steps to become the best U.S. carrier in Latin America and this commitment extends to providing additional connectivity to the top U.S. business markets for  Latin American travelers,” said Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president—Latin America and Caribbean. “The additional daily frequency between Sao Paulo and our hub in Atlanta offers unsurpassed access to U.S. business destinations in 2.5 hours or less, supporting economic development for both countries.”

From Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, customers have access to nearly 1,000 daily flights more than 200 destinations that Delta operates, including nonstop service to 63 international destinations. International travelers can enjoy a wide range of amenities at the new USD  1.4 billion Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, which opened in May 2012.

“The new daily flight will expand Deltaґs operation in Brazil to 42 nonstop weekly flights between the country and the U.S, and will be codeshared with GOL Linhas Aйreas Inteligentes, our partner in Brazil, allowing the best hub-to-connectivity for our customers,” Ferri said.  “Through our partnership with GOL, Delta offers access to our customers to more than 380 destinations in more than 62 countries, meeting 99 percent of Brazilian and U.S. customer demand between the countries.”
