OREANDA-NEWS. Holders of the Bank's universal Visa Travel Card now earn even more bonus miles and can also apply for two additional cards with free insurance coverage for foreign travel

Uniastrum customers who use the Bank's Visa Travel Card to pay for goods or services or withdraw cash now automatically earn an average of 0.75 more bonus miles, depending on the type of card. Holders of a Visa Classic Card, for example, accrue 1.5 travel miles for every Rb 30 (or foreign currency equivalent) they spend, while those using a Visa Gold or Visa Platinum card earn two and 2.5 miles, respectively.

Visa Travel Card holders can now apply for two additional cards, which also come with built-in insurance coverage of up to 100,000 euros for travel abroad. Another new benefit is that annual administration fees for Uniastrum Classic card range have been scaled down.

Uniastrum's Visa Travel Card is a joint project devised by the Bank in partnership with the iGlobe-ru website. Travel miles accrued on the card can be exchanged any time on the website for a ticket with any airline, to book hotel accommodation, a car or transfer. At iGlobe.ru customers can choose from more than 380 airlines and over 200,000 hotels worldwide.

“Our new Visa Travel Card benefits make the product an even better option than before,” says Susanna Uzunyan, head of Uniastrum's Retail Product Design and Development Division. “The card can now be used to earn miles for airline tickets faster. Needless to say, our Visa Travel option retains all the main benefits associated with a Uniastrum card, namely generous interest earnings on the cardholder's balance, an interest-free grace period, and free access to Uniastrum's state-of-the-art Internet banking services.”

Until year-end 2013, Uniastrum is running a special promo, under which it will be awarding up to 6,000 bonus miles to all customers who, within a given month, use a Visa Travel Card to spend at least Rb 20,000 (Visa Classic), Rb 30,000 (Visa Gold) or Rb 40,000 (Visa Platinum).
