OREANDA-NEWS. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared with August, 2012, it increased 5.4% in August, 2013. In January-August, 2013, the output increased 18.6% in the mining industry and grew 7.3% in the processing one. The output at companies producing foodstuffs and beverages increased 2.3% in the reporting period. Production of distilled alcohol beverages soared 44.2%, the flour and starch output ballooned 34.2%, wine output increased 8.45, diary products production grew 7.6%, bread and confectionary production grew 6.4%. Production of processed and canned fruit and vegetables grew 5.1%, meat and canned meat production increased 4.9%. At the same time, the output of vegetable oils and fats tumbled 88.6% down and production of mineral water and soft drinks declined 9.5%, NBS reports. In January-August, 2013 production of electric machines and equipment increased 44.5%, the metallurgic and chemical output growing 35% and 26.8% respectively. Production of other non-metal mineral products (glass, items of concrete, gypsum and cement), grew 24.4%, furniture manufacture increasing 2.6%. In the reporting period the output of printing industry fell 19.4%. The output decreased 19.4% in the machine industry, 14% in the tobacco industry and 11% in the medical devices, precious and optical instruments industry. Production fell 4.65 in the clothing and fur industry and 4.2% in the foot wear one; in the reporting period it was produced 4% less metal items, machines and equipment excepted and 15 less soft goods . The energy sector (generation and distribution of electricity and heat) reported the decline by 2.7% in this period.
