OREANDA-NEWS. United Metallurgical Company (CJSC OMK, Moscow) and OMK HR Director Svetlana Nikolashina have been announced laureates of the 14th Russia and CIS HR Directors Summit. The summit was held in Moscow on September 26-27, and over 400 HR directors of leading Russian and international companies of different industries participated in the event. The summit is a most competent event in Russia and neighboring countries in the sphere of personnel management.

OMK HR Director Svetlana Nikolashina was announced a laureate in the HR Director-2013 category. The company's personnel department conducts significant work providing qualified choice, development and career growth of over 20,000 OMK employees. Significant attention is paid to training of both current and future specialists and managers. Success in this line is proved by one more prize which the company has received within the summit. OMK's project, the Industry Business Vocational Orientation Game for Seniour Pupils was announced third in the HR Project-2013 category. The Industry game helps pupils find their place in the professional world. OMK annually tests 9th grade students in Vyksa, about 600 pupils, from the vocational viewpoint. One hundred students who demonstrate aptitudes in science and technology participate in the game. Pupils are told what professions are in demand with OMK enterprises in Vyksa and get acquianted with real metallurgical production. The key idea of the unique project is to establish an efficient form of partnership between business, authorities and education. The Industry game is a good example which vivdly demonstrates opportunities of cooperation between an employer and future employees from the school age. OMK's partners in the Industry project are the OMK-Uchastie Charity Fund, Zanyato.ru project and Education Department of Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod.
