OREANDA-NEWS. In 3Q2013 Nordea Bank demonstrated a positive dynamics in most of its key performance indicators.

In Q3 Nordea Bank’s equity reached Rub 34.52bn, which is plus 10% compared to the same period last year. Assets amounted to Rub 258.19bn, and consolidated loans: Rub 223.77bn.

As of 01.10.2013 corporate loans were Rub 175.71bn. Decrease in the corporate lending volumes compared to the last year was due to final repayments of troubled loans to the Bank, as well as to a number of scheduled and premature repayments, The retail lending volume in 3Q2013 achieved Rub 20.97bn, having exceeded the last year result by 26%.

The Bank’s net profit made Rub 2.27bn. It improved by 37% compared to the same period last year. Increase in net profit was due to margin growth and also to repayment of overdue interest and fines on troubled loans.

Igor Bulantsev, CEO of Nordea Bank: “We managed to reverse the declining trend in corporate lending witnessed at the end and beginning of this year, and ensured its growth both in quarter two and three. Retail loan volumes have been gradually increasing since the year start which is mainly achieved through growth in mortgage lending. Meanwhile the Bank retains a high-quality loan portfolio, being a market leader. In quarter four we are going to pursue our strategy focused on effective business growth”.
