OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2013. They grew MDL 1 billion 166.6 million (15.4%) up as compared with the same period of 2012, the Ministry of Finance informs.

Payments of VAT on domestic goods and services made up MDL 2 billion 831.5 million, exceeding the target 8.5%. As compared with the same period of the past year, they increased MDL 307.1 million or 12.2%.

The growth in VAT payments was determined by the following reasons: an increase in the domestic consumption and in a number of VAT payers; an increase in the VAT payers who pay the VAT over MDL 1 million; a changed rule of levying VAT in agriculture (till April), a decrease in deliveries taxable at a reduced rate of VAT.
