OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2013. The Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Igor Artemiev, and the Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor), Alexander Zharov, signed an Agreement on Cooperation between the two agencies.

The Agreement is designed to exercise powers to control compliance with the antimonopoly law and the law on advertising, and foreign investments in the Russian Federation. The Agreement is also aimed at establishing cooperation in control and supervision over compliance with the law of the Russian Federation in mass information and communications, TV- and radio-broadcasting, telecom, and information technologies.

The Agreement provides for establishing interaction in control and supervision to ensure that processing of personal data meets the norms of the law of the Russian Federation on personal data and on protecting children from information that upon their health and (or) development.

The Agreement is valid indefinitely.
