OREANDA-NEWS. The document was signed on November 12 by the CEO of JSC Russian Grids Oleg Budargin and the rector of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Andrey Sharonov.

The power grid complex companies have been working with the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO for years: integrated programmes Leaders of Change and Innovation Management have been implemented; youth forums and round tables are held annually, including those within the annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The agreement signed on November 12 takes JSC Russian Grids and the SKOLKOVO business school to a new level of cooperation: events serving as platforms for the dialogue of JSC Russian Grids subsidiaries, the industry market participants and regional authorities will be held in the regions where the company operates.

The novel idea for the Youth Forum within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2014 was also discussed: the plan is to invite international teams out of youth talent pool coming from the company's European and Asian partner firms. This will allow the participants not only to share their experiences with international colleagues, but also to show what they are capable of in professional competitions and collaborate on new business ideas and projects.

Commenting on the agreement, Oleg Budargin noted that the cooperation with SKOLKOVO would help in resolving the issue of staffing the power grid holding companies with qualified senior managers who share common principles and corporate values, which is particularly important in view of long-term objectives to consolidate the power grid complex.

“The key principle for creating the talent pool of top managers for power grid companies is to carry out a multi-stage selection of talented administrators in all regions of the country. It is important to provide them with ongoing training in best practices and methods used by the world's business schools. The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is our reliable partner on the matter. Besides that, we plan to develop our cooperation within Russian and international forums. We need to create new forms of interaction, increase the number of their participants, actively engage our international partners and add new hot topics to the agenda”, - said the head of JSC Russian Grids.

“JSC Russian Grids is a leading company in the energy sector, which leads the other players in this market. Moreover, it is one of the few companies in Russia that has a comprehensive approach to solving staffing problems of the entire industry and developing regional teams and talent pool at all levels of the organization. We have already implemented several successful joint programmes, and now we are working on projects for the next few years”, - said the rector of the business school Sharonov.
