OREANDA-NEWS.  November 21, 2013. This is provided by Regulation on the technical inventory and certification of the constructed residential buildings, approved by the Government at the meeting.

According to the document, it is planned to assess the technical condition of buildings, their technical inventory and certification. In accordance with regulations prepared by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, the technical condition of residential buildings will be classified into 5 categories: good, fair, poor, outdated and unusable.

The Minister Marcel Raducan said that it is planned to hold visual and detailed study of buildings, foundations, walls, floors, roofs and stairs. Regulation will complement the database on the technical condition of buildings to determine their suitability for further use and necessity for repair, reconstruction, consolidation or demolition.

The new rules are mandatory for all institutions, businesses, individuals and legal entities, irrespective of the ownership, subordination, and sources of funding that are engaged in the design, construction and investment in Moldova. Marcel Raducan stressed that the inventory is necessary as 134 thousand of houses were built in 1945-1970, 160 thousand - in 1971-1991 and only 50 thousand - in 1991-2011.
