OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2013. JSC TATNEFT's Board of Directors   appointed Nail Ulfatovich Maganov, who previously held the position of the First Deputy Director General of JSC TATNEFT - Head of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales Department, General Director.

Nail Ulfatovich Maganov was born in Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan) on July 28, 1958.  He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry n.a. I.M. Gubkin (now: Russian State University of Oil and Gas n.a. I.M.  Gubkin) in 1983 with a specialization in   "Technology and complex mechanization of oil and gas fields development".

He started his labor career as well testing operator at NGDU "Elkhovneft", which was one of the leading structural divisions of "Tatneft" Production Association (1976-1981).

At different periods of time he used to work as   process engineer, crude oil and gas production foreman, senior engineer - deputy production shop superintendent, Production Shop No. 5 superintendent of NGDU "Elkhovneft" of "Tatneft" Production Association (1981-1991); deputy head of capital construction, NGDU "Zainskneft" of "Tatneft" Production Association (1991-1993); head of crude oil and petroleum products sales office of JSC TATNEFT (1993-1994), Deputy General Director for Production of JSC TATNEFT (1994-1998).

N.U. Maganov was Deputy General Director of JSC TATNEFT and Head of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales Department from 1998 to 2000. In 2000 Nail Ulfatovich was appointed First Deputy General Director of JSC TATNEFT for Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales and Head of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales Department and in 2004 he was appointed as First Deputy General Director of JSC TATNEFT - Head of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales Department.

Nail Ulfatovich Maganov is an Honored Oilman of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honorary Worker of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Excellent Expert in the oil industry of the USSR Ministry of Oil Industry.

Awards: Order of Friendship, Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan, a number of medals.
