OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2013. Qatar Petroleum’s Industrial Cities Directorate, comprising of Mesaieed and Ras Laffan industrial cities, has won “The Energy: Oil & Gas Award” at the annual Seatrade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards 2013, which was held in Dubai.

The Seatrade awards recognize achievements in maritime safety and the environment, ship and port operations and efficiency, as well as security and financing. It is one of the most prestigious prizes of the maritime world. This year’s awards ceremony took place during a gala dinner last Monday at the Atlantis The Palm Hotel & Resort in Dubai.

The Energy: Oil & Gas Award was received by Captain Feisal Saad, Manager of Port Operations at QP Industrial Cities, from Mr. Khalifa Bin Ali Al-Hitmi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Navigation (Milaha).

For seven years in a row now, Ras Laffan Industrial City has been a regular recipient of the Seatrade Awards, as it has been honored since 2007 with various awards, including the Port Authority Awards, Energy: Oil & Gas Awards and Environment Protection Awards.
